We are united by a practice primarily focused on well-being and health. An activity that requires continuous attention to the various aspects that surround us and that can be decisive when reaching our goals. We are facing an invisible enemy of unprecedented complexity, which puts our health and well-being at risk.
In March of this year, we postponed Rio Marathon in the hope of carrying it out in October with the necessary security for all athletes. Since then, we have carefully analyzed the evolution of the pandemic and the guidelines of health authorities, making every effort to maintain our evidence in its successful format. However, the current scenario does not provide the essential guarantees for this. In this context, the Rio Marathon could not fail to prioritize the fundamental aspects of our activity and watch over you, runner. In this way, registrations can be transferred to 2021, 2022 or 2023.
It will not be possible to maintain the registration of people from other countries for this year.
Our festival receives people from the 4 corners of the planet, and this further increases our responsibility and we could not fail to prioritize the fundamental aspects of our activity and look after you, runner.
We hope that we can be together again starting next year.
We will bring you more detailed information on August 10th.
